Random acts of kindness

What if we were to each perform one random act of kindness per day? Opening the door or holding the elevator for someone. Or saying hello to a stranger. Or two days ago, as I was in the gas station buying gas and there was a young man behind me and he had a coffee he was waiting to pay for. I told the attendant to add his coffee to my purchases.

Could we change how we act toward each other by paying it forward? I feel the more random acts of kindness we perform, the more the kindness spreads.

I would like to believe the world will heal if we simply perform a simple kindness for a stranger.
